Solutions-oriented Information Systems Specialist with notable success directing a broad range of corporate IT initiatives while participating in planning and implementation of information-networking solutions in direct support of business objectives.

I was recruited to assist established clients to maintain their existing server and WAN/LAN infrastructures. I predominantly troubleshoot a variety of issues associated with network connectivity, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, MS Exchange 2003, Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008; however, I also troubleshoot virtual environments, Blackberry servers and Windows 2000, XP and Vista. HP servers comprise most of the client environments. I communicate regularly and clearly with clients in troubleshooting issues, planning implementations, planned maintenance and making recommendations acting as a systems administrator for multiple clients. I develop and update technical documentation for each client and act as there liaison in dealings with outside vendors.

I was recruited to assist the engineering department with networking issues, assist end users as needed, maintain and update the company intranet and perform necessary troubleshooting and repair across a variety of platforms. I was directly responsible for or consulted on all network operations for approximately 120 users and over 300 nodes spanning three states (Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky). I frequently collaborate with members of the engineering department and outside vendors to complete tasks outside of my skill set or my available travel area. I made recommendations and implementations for network design changes, vendor selection, software and hardware purchasing and companywide training initiatives. I regularly performed cost benefit analysis to justify expenditures based on benefits and/or the return on investment (ROI). I frequently created and presented presentations for training initiatives and regional briefings. I have received multiple awards and commendations for excellent performance. I was selected to be promoted to Technical Operations Manager before company merger. As the primary point person for IT infrastructure, I contributed greatly to the migration of the existing network infrastructure into a much larger enterprise environment. After the merger, I was directly responsible for managing over 300 user accounts, 400 workstations and 25 servers.

Recruited to establish and manage enterprise-wide information-security program. Managed companywide efforts to identify and evaluate all critical systems. Designed and implemented security processes and procedures and performed cost benefit analysis on all recommended strategies. I collaborated with external auditors to conduct in-depth compliance audits and penetration testing, analyzing all results to for future implementations. Develop curricula and facilitate awareness training for management and employees. Daily reviewing of server event logs. Order hardware and software as needed.

I was recruited to perform PC and network hardware / software installations, repair and maintain Workstations, Servers, LANs/WANs, supporting peripherals, operating systems and common software applications. I became lead multimedia designer and web developer. I engineered, implemented and lead several large network projects including network cabling and installation of servers and workstations. I performed multiple domain migrations for small to mid-sized companies from Windows NT domains to Windows 2000 Active Directory. I managed several high-profile web accounts utilizing MS Frontpage and Macromedia products to edit and redesign pages as needed. I became the exclusive technician for a local government account.
